In 2018, after the birth of my daughter, I discovered the joy of creating my own accessories and clothing—for both her and myself—under the guidance of the talented and experienced Els Sienart. My very first project was a simple pincushion, but in that small stitch was born a deep passion for design. Each workshop ignited my creativity and curiosity, making me believe that with the right guidance, nothing was impossible.
Seeing my daughter wear the pieces I crafted brought immense pride and joy. But as any parent knows, toddlers grow in the blink of an eye. This realization pushed me to rethink design, searching for ways to make garments more adaptable—pieces that could evolve with her, extending their life and meaning over time.
After three years of exploring every pattern I could get my hands on, I felt the urge to push my skills further. In September 2021, I took the leap and enrolled in fashion school in Brussels, eager to refine my techniques and deepen my understanding of garment construction. Balancing a full-time career and motherhood leaves little time for study, but every moment spent learning fuels my passion. It might take me ten years to earn my degree, but for me, the true reward lies in the journey, not the destination.

Recycler les déchets en objets d'art
What began as forgotten fragments of secondhand clothing has evolved into a one-of-a-kind garment that merges memory with modernity. This piece is built from contrasts—structured and chaotic, soft and strong, romantic and raw. Through layering, manipulation, and upcycled reinvention, it tells the story of transformation: from waste to wonder, from silence to statement.
Every fabric carries a past, but here, it's not about nostalgia—it's about reinvention. Using hand-crafted techniques like ruching, embroidery, textile weaving, and patchwork, this creation honors the resilience and complexity of contemporary femininity. It’s not just a piece to wear—it’s a message to embody.
She’s not defined by the past. She redefines the present.
This project began with an instinct: to retrieve forgotten garments and give them new voice. Rescued from the racks of thrift shops, each piece was chosen not for what it was, but for what it could become. What followed was an experimental journey of deconstruction and reconstruction, a form of fabric alchemy rooted in transformation.

This creation lives between aesthetic and narrative. It is not merely a garment, but a wearable story—a reflection of evolving femininity:

"From Forgotten to Fierce" is not just a transformation of garments, but a transformation of meaning.
It is a statement: that identity can be deconstructed, rewritten, and worn proudly.
Material Transformation as Metaphor
The sweater is composed of textiles with histories—tweed skirts, faux-fur panels, tulle remnants, puffed synthetics, and denim scraps. These materials were dissected, reimagined, and layered, weaving together contrasting textures and symbolisms:

Red mohair expresses passion, urgency, and emotional depth.

Black tulle and lace embody mystery, fragility, and the unseen layers of strength.

Tweed anchors the design in tradition and structure—yet reworked here as a rebellious new skin.

Faux leather and zipper fragments introduce sharpness, echoing a punk or armoured aesthetic.
These choices draw on adjectives and feminine archetypes mapped out in your research
—from Midnight Muse to Voice of Power, Untamed to Eternal Dreamer.
Construction and Process
The piece was constructed with a deep respect for form and function, carefully balancing silhouette with movement. Inspired by the architectural nature of power dressing and Balmain’s ornate detailing, the sweater integrates:

Hand-sewn elements, from spirals and flake embroidery to corset-style motifs.

Graphic inspiration including flames, eyes, ribbons, and silhouettes.

Symbolic references to lunar femininity, transformation, and intuition,
inspired by the Triquetra and Three Moons.
The final form is a feminine armour: sculptural and soft, commanding and complex, fiercely protective while emotionally resonant.

En utilisant des matériaux de seconde main ou récupérés, l'objectif est de concevoir et de construire un vêtement ou un accessoire unique, en explorant des techniques innovantes pour réimaginer les déchets en une nouvelle pièce fonctionnelle et artistique. Le processus met l'accent sur la durabilité, l'expérimentation et la narration, aboutissant à une présentation du travail et du parcours de conception.
Point transformateur : créer une identité grâce à l'embellissement
Ce projet vise à transformer une blouse de laboratoire en un vêtement unique et adapté à un événement, inspiré d'un thème culturel ou situationnel choisi. En incorporant des pièces supplémentaires (manches, poches, bordures) et des embellissements tels que la broderie, l'impression ou l'appliqué, l'objectif est d'explorer des techniques de conception innovantes. La création finale met l'accent sur la fonctionnalité, l'esthétique et la narration, tout en soulignant la transformation d'un objet utilitaire en une pièce phare.
Cette œuvre est une interprétation contemporaine d'un jardin zen traditionnel par l'artiste Daniel Arsham (MOCO Londres), connu pour mélanger des formes classiques avec une esthétique futuriste et surréaliste.

Cette pièce peut être interprétée comme une méditation sur la fusion du passé et du futur, de la nature et de l’artifice, de la tradition et de l’innovation, encourageant les spectateurs à réfléchir à leur place dans le temps et la culture.
Redéfinir la mode :
Pas de passé mais maintenant
Ce projet s'inspire de la philosophie architecturale de Bernard Tschumi, connu pour son approche radicale de l'espace, de la forme et du mouvement. Le travail de Tschumi remet souvent en question les limites architecturales conventionnelles, en mettant l'accent sur la fragmentation, la superposition et l'interaction entre la structure et l'activité humaine. Ses créations se concentrent sur la relation dynamique entre la forme et la fonction, où les espaces ne sont pas statiques mais sont définis par le mouvement et l'interaction. L'objectif est de traduire ces principes en mode en créant un vêtement unisexe qui intègre la division, la superposition et les volumes expérimentaux. Le processus de conception implique le développement de moodboards inspirés des motifs architecturaux de Tschumi, la construction de prototypes modulaires et adaptables et la finalisation d'un vêtement qui fusionne la précision structurelle avec la liberté créative, reflétant l'éthique du design du 21e siècle.
Perspectives déformées : exploration des manipulations graphiques dans la mode
Ce projet se concentre sur la création d'un vêtement hybride pour le haut du corps en explorant les distorsions graphiques et les manipulations textiles. En utilisant un tissu 100 % coton avec des motifs imprimés, les participants expérimenteront des techniques telles que le plissage, le pliage, l'étirement et la superposition pour créer des distorsions visuelles et volumétriques. Le design final incorporera 2 à 3 distorsions pour transformer le tissu en une pièce dynamique et artistique, mettant l'accent sur l'innovation dans la texture, la forme et la silhouette. Le processus implique l'expérimentation textile, la manipulation de motifs et la construction de modèles, aboutissant à une présentation créative du vêtement fini.
